Recently I discussed Facebook in my Tech Talk feature in the Goole Times. Facebook is an extremely popular website and it is a great way of keeping in touch with friends and family. It has its problems though, as in order to keep the website free, Facebook have opened it up to advertisers and to application developers. These adverts and games aren’t all that innocent and you should be careful what you accept and what you agree to install within Facebook.

Window Dressing Competition – Winners

Dorreen Chappell and Grace Mulligan had a busy day judging the Goole in Bloom Window Dressing Competition on Tuesday 14th July. Thirteen retailers showed their artistic side by creating a host of imaginative displays in time for the Goole in Bloom Summer Judging Tour.

Dorreen and Grace were wowed by Screetons who had painted the sky-line of goole and adnorned their window with large flower pom-poms.

First Place

Screetons ‘An inspired display so relevant to Goole. The display of art work and flowers was excellent.’

Goole in Bloom Window Dressing Competition on Display!

As the town prepares itself for the highly anticipated Goole in Bloom Summer Tour, Goole Retail Chamber’s Goole in Bloom Window Dressing Competition is now officially open.

It is now it is up to the judges Grace Mulligan and Doreen Chappell to decide the winner who will be presented with the Link Agency sponsored trophy.

Cllr Jean Kitchen said “It is really pleasing to see businesses in Goole working in partnership with Goole in Bloom to make the town even more attractive, for the judging of the summer tour on the afternoon of Friday 10th July. The town is looking much more welcoming!”

The lucky winner will be presented with the trophy, after the competition closes on Friday 17^th July.

Winners will also be invited to the Horticultural Show in August.

Link Agency Goole in Bloom Window Dressing Competition Announced!

Link directors Phil and Suzanne Jones launch window dressing competition with chairman of Goole Retail Chamber Mike Pearson.

Goole Retail Chamber have announced they are holding for the first time, the Goole in Bloom Window Dressing Competition, sponsored by Link Agency.

The theme is ‘Goole In Bloom’ and the Chamber are looking forward to seeing some imaginative windows.

The competition is free to enter. Displays must be showcased between Monday 6th July and Friday 17th July.

Judges are Grace Mulligan and Doreen Chappell.

The winning retailer will be presented with the Link Agency sponsored trophy which they will hold for one year.

This is a great opportunity to add some colour to the town centre prior to the Goole in Bloom Summer Tour and gain some additional publicity for your business.
